The goals underlying all LUV services are increasing our understanding of our inner nature, strengthening the best in ourselves and those around us, and learning to make the whole world our own.
We meet in the living room at the Geller Center, 529 S. Howes Street, Fort Collins. It is located one building in from the corner of Laurel and Howes on the west side of the street. Parking available on the street and along the fence in the back alley (to the west).
As always, classes are free and open to seekers of all experience levels and beliefs. Donations gratefully accepted.
Sunday Family Service, 11:15 am - 12:15 pm: This family-style service includes singing, short Sanskrit chants, a short meditation, and a reading from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna followed by a reading and discussion on the week’s topic.
Thursday Adult Study and Meditation, 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm: We begin with a cup of tea and a reading from our current book, An Open Heart:Practicing Compassion in Everyday Life by the Dalai Lama followed by a universal prayer and a guided meditation.
Four annual events celebrate the seasonal worship of the Divine in the religions of the world:
Sri Ramakrishna Puja: Our first celebration of Sri Ramakrishna's birthday will be on Saturday, February 13, 2010. Food will be ritualistically offered and their will be participatory chanting. The food is then shared with all. Location and time to be determined.
Guest Speakers: From time to time the Institute of Living Universal Values hopes to host swamis, pravrajikas and other interesting speakers.
